James "Jamie" E. Delso, age 60, of Schererville, IN (formerly of Alsip, IL), passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kelly (nee Lee) Delso; children, Jacob Delso and Delaney Delso; and brothers, Tom (Donna) Delso, Bob (Jane) Delso, and Dan (Mandee) Delso.
Jamie was preceded in death by his father, James A. Delso; and mother, Carol A. Delso (nee Edwards).
Visitation will be held March 9, 2026, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Services will take place on March 10, 2026, at St. George Hellenic Greek Church, 528 West 77th Avenue, Schererville, IN at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society or the American Diabetes Association in Jamie's honor.
Jamie was an excellent pickleball and tennis player. He was an avid movie-goer and music lover. Jamie was best buddies with his golden doodle, Buster, and he loved all dogs. He was respected and beloved by his colleagues at McGraw Hill, where he worked as a customer enablement specialist. Jamie was a loving father, husband, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed.
