James Leigh Jostes

James Leigh Jostes age 88, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

He is survived by his children, Timothy (Jo Ellen) Jostes, Jeff (Mary) Jostes, Chris (Phyllis) Jostes, Carrie (Scott) Pement and Cindy (Joe) Reid; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by wife, Patricia A. Jostes.

James was born August 26, 1932 in Edwardsville, IL to the late Eugene Benedict and Grace M. Jostes. On February 20, 1952, he married the love of his life, Patricia A. Kelly and together they raised 5 children. He retired from Inland Steel as a mechanic with 44 years of service. James loved to ride Harley’s, enjoyed classic cars and won multiple trophies at car shows. He enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his kids and grandkids.

James was a loving son, brother, husband, father and papa and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN) with Rev. Theodore J. Mens officiating.

Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.

Due to the current conditions of Covid-19, masks are required for attendance at the funeral home and the cemetery.
