Janet M. Anderson

Janet M Anderson, age 76, of Highland, IN, formerly of LaPorte, IN passed away peacefully on April 14, 2018 at Community Hospital with her loving family at her side. Janet was born April 2, 1942 to the late Henry and Rose Harms. Also preceding her in death are her loving husband, Charles Anderson; sisters, Barbara Harms and Maureen Sedor; brothers, Robert Joseph, Gene Harms, Donald Harms, Dale Harms, and David Harms. Left to cherish her memory are her sister-in-law, Francis (Gene) Brownwell; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; step daughters, Karen (Dwight) Hoke and Kathy (Art) Gorman; step grandchildren, Andy, Aele, Marissa and Jared; and close friend, Edwina. Janet was a loving and devoted homemaker and caretaker for her husband. After her husband's retirement, they moved to LaPorte, and enjoyed spending their time on the pontoon boat at Pine Lake. She will be deeply missed by all who love her. Visitation will be Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave.; Crown Point, IN 46307). Funeral services will be Friday, April 20, 2018 at 10:00 am with Fr. Stephen Kosinski officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
