Jayne Willis

Jayne is the loving wife for 36 years to Michael Willis; proud mother to Edward "E.J." (Summer) Willis, Alaina Willis, Hallee (Tyler) Luzinski and Kristy Willis; cherished grandmother to Kelly Fox Willis; devoted daughter to the late Joseph and Frances Hodor; beloved sister to David (Teri) Hodor, Joseph (Doris) Hodor, George Hodor, Joni Hodor, JoAnn (Doug) Kennedy, and loving "Aunt Jayne" to many.

Jayne is a 1982 Griffith High School graduate where she excelled in diving, gymnastics, and track. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree at Ball State University. She worked at the Schererville Old Navy for several years. Most recently, Jayne worked as a teacher's aide at Clark Middle School where she cared for each of her students deeply.

Jayne was an avid runner and proud member of the Calumet Region Striders. She was a coach for both the Junior Striders and Girls on the Run. She was a talented seamstress, making numerous custom quilts for family and friends.

Jayne had an extraordinary ability to bring people together. Whether it was grilling for endless guests at the family lake house, baking for her coworkers and friends, or regularly hosting holiday and birthday parties, she brought love and connection into everything she did. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and friends on the pontoon boat.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 12 noon until the time of her celebration of life at 3:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. (8178 Cline Ave Schererville, IN 46375). Private family committal services will occur at a later date.

In remembrance of Jayne, the family requests that charitable donations be made to NWI Parkinsons.
