Gerald "Jerry" Patrick Egan, age 68, of Crown Point, Indiana passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 10, 2021. Gerald was born August 4, 1952 to Lois Egan and Thomas J. Egan.

Jerry grew up in Calumet City, IL and was a graduate of Bishop Noll Institute Class of 1970. He went on to study Civil Engineering and was a proud graduate of Purdue University Class of 1974. Jerry served 46 years as a professional Engineer where he recently retired from Walsh Construction as their Chief Estimator. Jerry was loved and respected by all in the industry.

Jerry reconnected with the love of his life Judy, and they lived their lives to the fullest. Jerry was a life long fisherman, craftsman and racing fan. He also enjoyed cheering on the Chicago White Sox and Purdue Boilermakers. He finally decided he was old enough to take on the game of golf and was looking forward to mastering it in his retirement. He loved spending time with family and supporting his grandchildren in their many activities.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Judith Egan; daughter Kelly (Benjamin) Voliva; son Patrick Egan; son Dan (Angela) Egan; son Kevin (Julie) Egan; daughter Jodie (Kevin) Baldwin; and son Jeff Mojzik; mother Lois Egan; brother Thomas C. (Joyce) Egan; granddaughter Libby Voliva, granddaughter Maggie Voliva, granddaughter Lily Egan, granddaughter Annie Egan and grandson Ryan Baldwin, and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Jerry was preceded in death by father Thomas J. Egan. No doubt they have been reunited in heaven already golfing and watching a race.

My deepest sympathy and thoughts are with the Egan family at this time. Jerry was a wonderful person and a great co-worker. He always appreciated everything I did and supported me in every way possible. I will remember the time I spent with him and treasure those memories.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Jerry was a long time friend and colleague. Since the days when his father coached my brothers and I, we have shared memories of our childhoods in Calumet City and numerous difficult construction projects where we worked on practical solutions. His subtle wit and mild manner will be greatly missed. May you rejoice in a life well lived.

Judy and the entire Egan Family - words cannot express how sorry we are for the sudden loss of Jerry. Jerry was more than a coworker, he was a friend and a father figure and he was one of my most favorite people. His sarcasm was infectious and he could always bring a smile to my face. Jerry gave the best hugs and he was always in my corner. We were looking forward to creating more travel memories with Jerry and Judy in his retirement. I am forever grateful to have known Jerry and for all of the love he gave to my family and I. He might have left us far sooner than we would have wished, but he will always and forever remain in my heart. All of our love, The Crider Family- Christie, Steve and Flynne
