Jerry Morris

Jerry was born in the Sunnyside Section of Indiana Harbor to Thomas and Lyda (MacLeod) Morris on February 9, 1935. He is survived by wife, Anna (Stewart) Morris; son, Jeff (Carol) Morris; daughter, Jennifer (Chuck) Upchurch; step-daughter, Dana (David Dellarocco) Conroy; step-son, Daniel Conroy; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Preceding him in death are daughter, Dina Noojin; son, Christopher Morris; granddaughter, Justine Upchurch; parents, Thomas and Lyda Morris; brothers, Thomas "Tucker" Morris, William "Rube" Morris, and Arthur Morris; and sister, Joan (nee Morris) Williams.

Jerry was retired from Inland Steel Company after 35 years of service, and retired from the Broward County Sheriff's Office as a court deputy. Jerry cherished his MacLeod Scottish heritage, his family and dogs. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Blackhawks.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 11:00 AM until the time of his Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. Memorials may be given to the family for a charity to be chosen at a later date.
