Kerry your mom is so beautiful, and I can tell from the pix how warm and funny she was too.  It's obvious where you get your wit, kindness and beauty from.  You and your whole family are in my prayers every day.  Love you,

Sad to hear of Joanie's passing. She indeed had one of kind laugh.  Enjoyed working with her at Inland Steel. My sympathy to her family.

Dear Reczek Family  My heart and prayers go to you all.  Joan was a dear friend in high school she opened her home and her family took me in when hope was gone and for her kindness she will always have a special place in my heart.  I will miss her and send you my deepest sympathy for your loss.

I have so many great memories of Joanie from our high school days and the old Roxana neighborhood.  She was one of a kind! Her laugh will stay with me forever.  My condolences are with the entire family.

Rich, Carrie, Erik, Pat, Alex, Danny, Sandy, Lynn, Joe, all their children and their children...phew...she leaves quite a legacy!  What can I say about our Joanie.  Her soul went deep, her heart was big, her laugh was infectious and when you talked with her--you felt as though you were the only one in the room.  What I remember most about Joanie were the early Christmases we shared at Pat's houses, East Chicago and on Normandy, when our children were young.  She was always right there helping Pat any way she could to pull off this enormous feat..food in abundance and gift wrap everywhere.  Well without rambling on, which is signaure Vassi ;-) I will tell you--in times like this a Billy Joel song comes to mind.  "Only the Good Die Young"  Joanie now joins the angels like Mom and all the others that have gone too soon and well before their time.  She will always live in the hearts of those who love her.  May her memory be eternal.
