John William Daniels

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Deborah (nee Sellers) Daniels; step daughters, Gabrielle (Angelo) Benard and Dalena (Michael) Jimenez; grandchildren, Chase, Soraya, Aviana, Michael Jr., Zander and Emma; siblings, David (Linda) Daniels, Susan (Harry) Banks, Sandra (Dale) Offdenkamp and Matthew (Donna) Daniels; mother and father in law, Trudy and Ron Cathcart; many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and his faithful canine companions, Onyx, Sequoia, Adele, Cleopatra and Zoey.

Preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Carolyn June Daniels.

John was born in Chicago, IL and raised in Harvey, IL and was a graduate of Thornwood High School. He worked at Pacific Rail Services and retired with over 30 years of service. John was a member of the Berrien County Sportsman Club where he loved to camp and fish. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and the Indianapolis Colts. There were three things that John truly loved: his wife, his dogs and his coffee.

John was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and brother and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 6:30 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 8178 Cline Ave Schererville, IN with Rev. James L. Sparks officiating.

Burial to be held privately by the family.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday from 3:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
