Jonathon Travis Blankenship

Jonathon Travis, age 27, passed away on March 1, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife Jessica Travis (Spitzer); dear children: Emalee Spitzer, Rachel Travis, Jonathon Travis and Mira Travis; loving parents: Margaret (Ron) Blankenship and Jon R. Travis; beloved siblings: Elizabeth Travis, Sabrina Travis, Ronald Blankenship and Brett Blankenship; grandparents: Jim and Joan Short, Wanda (late Ronald) Blankenship and Eloise Travis; 2 favorite uncles: Jimmy and Jeff Short; close cousin, Daniel and best friend, Brad Duntton. Jonathon is also survived by many other close relatives and dear friends.

Preceded in death by his grandfather Ronald Blankenship and uncle Chris Reid.

Jonathon was the owner of J.T. Roofing and Remodeling Company. He was a member of Cline Gardens Church in Hammond, IN and was a diehard Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks and Colts fan. Jonathon was a devoted and loving father and husband who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his dear children: Emalee, Rachel, Jonathon and Mira. They were his life. Hearts will be broken forever. Jonathon will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave Schererville, IN) Pastor Joe Anweiler officiating. Interment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
