Jualita Rae Jones

Jualita R. Jones, of Dyer, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2015 at St. Margaret Franciscan Healthcare with her loving family at her side. Jualita was born on February 28, 1947 to Paul, who survives, and Esther (Mykrantz) Moosmiller. Her mother preceded her in death and a nephew, Matthew Moosmiller. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 48 years, Joel Jones; her daughter, Rae Ellynne (Eric) Lee; grandson, Michael Lee; her brothers: Jerry (Shirley) Moosmiller and Gery Moosmiller; an aunt, Eunice Martin and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jones was a nursery school teacher for many years with Dyer Nursery School and YWCA of Hammond. She was a longtime and faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dyer, where she was an elder, served as deacon, sang in the choir, and taught Sunday school. She was also a past Girl Scout Leader. Jualita and her husband were travel enthusiasts, visiting all fifty states. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 South Cline Ave. Schererville, Indiana 46375) with Rev. Paul Anderson officiating.
