Karen A. Benac, age 64, of Crown Point, IN passed away on Friday, August, 14, 2020 at the Riley Residence in Munster, IN. She was born to Leonard and Ann Marie (Craynok) Benac on August 5, 1956 in Gary, IN.
Karen worked for many years at St. Anthony's Lab. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her niece, Natalie and nephew, Nicholas and was very devoted to her family. Her favorite season over all was fall that trickled in to her favorite holiday being Christmas. Karen was always around to give and show support to those who knew her. Her family will remember her generous and fun-loving spirit, along with her hobbies of listening to country music and her shopping skills.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Leonard Benac and leaves behind her Mother, Ann Marie; brother, George Benac; sister, Lauren (David) Thomas; niece, Natalie Thomas and nephew, Nicholas Thomas.
A graveside funeral service to honor Karen will take place on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at 12:30PM at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Crown Point, IN. Rev. Theodore Mens will be officiating.
In order to maximize the safety of our community, masks will be required at the Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice of the Calumet Area - 600 Superior Dr. Munster, IN 4632.
