Kenny was born on February 26, 1957, in Hammond, IN, to Leonard and Genivieve Lelito. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Karen; his son, Matthew “Mattie”; his stepson, Alex; his brothers, Jim, Dan, and Scott; his sisters, Marilyn and Joannie; and many nieces and nephews.
Kenny began his career as an electrician at Inland Steel at the age of 18, where he worked for nearly 20 years. He later transitioned into IT, where he met his wife, Karen, while working at Systems Design, Inc. He went on to work as a Production Support Supervisor at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, before retiring and serving part-time as a bailiff in the Lake County Court System.
A devout Catholic, Kenny was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, where he served as a Past Faithful Navigator. He loved spending time with his family and the many dogs he raised throughout his life. An avid reader with a passion for history, he built an extensive personal library. He was also a lifelong baseball fan, and one of his greatest joys was watching his son, Matt, play the game.
