She was born on October 23, 1957, in Hammond to Janelle D. Pierce and Harry A. Klisiak. Linnae had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and was a proud supporter of the Humane Society. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, most especially riding on the back of her Harley-Davidson and spending time with those she loved. A familiar face at Billie Bears Bar, Linnae could often be found welcoming everyone who came through the door with warmth and a smile. In a final act of profound selflessness, Linnae chose to donate her eyes to Gift of Hope, giving others the priceless gift of sight and continuing to touch lives even after her passing.
Her heart belonged to her three nephews, Philip, Joseph, and Maxwell, whom she cherished beyond measure. Her love for them was boundless and unwavering.
Linnae is survived by her beloved dog, Daisy; her sisters, Deborah (Jozsef) Szilagyi and Donna Pierce; her brother, Kenneth Pierce; and her nephews, Philip Herrman and Maxwell Szilagyi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Janelle (Donald) Pierce and Harry (Mary) Klisiak; as well as her nephew, Joseph Anthony Szilagyi.
Linnae’s spirit, kindness, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A visitation for Linnae will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307.
