Lucinda Seifert

Lucinda (nee Wolfe) Seifert, age 95, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023. She is survived by her children, Linda (John) Palmer, Wanda (Thomas) Kostoff, Ray (Sharon) Seifert, Jr. and Ronald (Elizabeth) Seifert; grandchildren, Brandon Seifert, Jennifer Seifert, Danielle Seifert, Sherry Kostoff-Fary and Shelley Kostoff; great-grandchildren, Christopher Lohse, Brooklyn Adams, Tyler Adams, Christopher Fary and Michael Fary; great-great granddaughter, Soila Linda Lohse; siblings, Myrtle Bell Featherstone and Wanda Winegardner; as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Henry R. Seifert, Sr.; grandson, John Wayne Palmer, Jr.; a great-granddaughter; and eleven siblings.

Lucinda was born February 13, 1928, in Peerysville, IN to the late Charles and Bessie (Deevers) Wolfe. On April 10, 1948, she married the love of her life, Henry R. Seifert, Sr. and, together, they raised four children.

Lucinda and Ray enjoyed camping all over our great country with their family. She loved to bowl, play cards, read Harlequin romance novels, and enjoying time away from the cold North in the state of Florida. Lucinda was an exceptional mother, wife, sister and friend who's memory, smile, and unconditional love will be truly missed.

A Public Visitation for Lucinda will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. A Funeral Service celebrating her life will begin at 3:00 PM. Pastor Doug Klukken will be officiating. Interment to be held privately by the family at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN.
