Mardella Carol Shaffer

Mardella Carol Shaffer age 77, peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019. She is survived by her children, Cammie (Robert Paul) Shaffer, Kevin (Deborah) Shaffer and Melissa Shaffer; grandchildren, Jason Webster, Dustin Jones, Rylee Shaffer, Devin Middleton and Kyle Lee Middleton Sr., ; great grandchildren,Madison Webster and Kyle Lee Middleton Jr.; Preceded in death by her husband, Ben "Hoppy" Shaffer and brother, Ralph McKinney. Mardella was born on July 11, 1942 in Winamac, IN to the late Alvin and Mildred McKinney and was a graduate of Edison High School. She worked as a baker for Lake Ridge Schools. Mardella was an active member of Hobart Christian Assemblyof God, enjoyed yard sales and cooking for everyone. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN) with Reverend Michael Macchia officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 3:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
