Margaret Elaine McLean

Margaret Elaine McLean (nee Shropshire), age 77 of Schererville, passed away Friday, April 1, 2011. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Darrell; three children: Patricia (James) Jarmakowicz of Hammond; Geri (Chip) Bevan of Schererville, and Daniel (Jeannette) McLean of Harlan, IN; nine grandchildren: Angela Nowell of Griffith, James (Sara) Nowell, Jr. of Mattawan, MI, Aaron (Beth) Bevan of Hammond, Ashley (Paul) Siemer of Highland, Todd Bevan of Schererville, and Brandy, Josilyn McLean of Harlan, IN, Andrew Jarmakowicz of Highland and Kelley Jarmakowicz of Black Oak; eight great grandchildren: Andrew, Johnathan, Levi, Aidan, Ellie, Noah, Reese, and Rhylinn; one sister, Lois Webber of TX; two brothers: William (Carol) Shropshire of LaPorte and George (Laura) Shropshire of Hammond. Preceded in death by grandson, James Michael Jarmakowicz. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave. (1/2 mile south of U.S. 30), Schererville with Rev. Don Rector officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, April 4, 2011 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Mrs. McLean enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and cooking. She loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her canine friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Margaret's loving memory to the Calumet Humane Society.
