Marion R. Lamken

Marion R. Lamken (nee Knierim), age 83, of Merrillville passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert; four children: Roy (Lyn) Lamken of Lowell, Linda (Stan) Whitright of St Joseph, MI, Chuck (Connie) Lamken of Ridgeville, IN and Carol (Mike) Sabau of Clearwater, FL; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave. (one-half mile south of US 30) Schererville, IN with Rev. Mark Wilkins officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Mrs. Lamken was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Crown Point. She was a 55 year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxillary #2529 of Cedar Lake who will hold services at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home Tuesday evening. She was also a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Stars-Crown Point Chapter # 408 who will hold services at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, and a member of the Lowell VFW Post #6841 Ladies Auxillary.
