MARY RACHEL BOREN LEBANON, MO, age 79, formerly of Cedar Lake, IN passed away peacefully on January 20, 2015 in Lebanon, MO surrounded by her family. Rachel was born April 15, 1935 in Elkmont, AL to the late William and Avis (Higdon) Bryant. Also preceding her in death is her husband for over 50 years, Louis Boren, who passed away in 2006; her sisters: Marie Rooks, Dorothy Jones; and brothers: Calvin Bryant, and William Jack Bryant Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Ron (Sarah) Boren, Sherry (Art) Velasquez, Vicky (Charlie) Bloomer, Michael (Theresa) Boren; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great great grandchild, and a sister Ruth Parker. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave. Schererville, IN 46375), with funeral services at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
