Mary is the loving mother to Lora (Ed) Mercado and the late Lisa Leep; proud grandmother to Samantha Mercado, Kaitlyn and Savanna Leep, and the late Alexander Mercado; cherished sister to the late Jarvis G. Dean, Jr.; and devoted daughter to the late Jarvis G. Dean, Sr. and the late Lenora Dean.
Mary is a 1966 graduate of University of Chattanooga, receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She was a proud and faithful member of First United Methodist Church of Griffith. She enjoyed reading, gardening and puzzles, but her biggest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother.
