MARY E. VANDERBILT (NEE GASTAUT) LOWELL, IN FORMERLY LANSING, IL Mary VanderBilt, age 69, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Jerry VanderBilt; loving daughter, Jody (Steve) DenHartog; granddaughter, Mallory Den- Hartog; brother, Edward (Barbara) Gastaut; neices: Lisa (Richard) Lindich, Tammy Gastaut, Kim VanderBilt, Jamie VanderBilt, Leann (Dan) Michalski and Wendy (Craig) Husky; special great nephew, Daniel Lindich; brothers-in- law: Garry Kooi and Jim VanderBilt' and proud great aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents: Jimmy and Mary Williams; paternal father, Edward J. Guest; mother and father-in-law: Clara and John VanderBilt; and sisters-in-law: Betty Kooi, Sandy VanderBilt and Susan (Edward) Gastaut. Mary was a florist for over 20 years with their family business, VanderBilt's Garden and Floral Center in Lansing, IL. She loved to cook, read and most of all, spend time with her family. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at St. Ann Church, 3010 Ridge Road, Lansing, IL with Rev. Bill McFarlane officiating. Interment, Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, IN from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
