Maryann Cummins

She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Charles "Chick" Beisel, and she leaves behind her loving children, Linda Scharber (Mike), Gina Previs (Dru), Jacqueline Biernacki (Jay), Sherry Foley (Shane), and Russ Cummins (Mandy); her grandchildren, Charlie, Tracy, Harold, Jacob, Andru, Amber, Giana, Tori, and Alyssa; as well as many beloved great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Margaret Barr.

Maryann was proud to be born and raised in Chicago, IL, and graduate from CVS High School. She loved working, and her last employment was at Lansing Country Club, where she met some of her lifelong friends.

Maryann's green thumb was legendary, and she loved tending to her beautiful roses and flowers. One of her favorite past times was playing cards with her family and friends. Her great sense of humor was very witty, and she and could really make you laugh. She was an avid sports follower, especially the Bears, Cubs, Bulls and Blackhawks. Most of all, she loved to be with her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

A visitation for Maryann will be held July 7, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. A Prayer Service will take place from 5:00 to 5:45 pm.
