Myretta L. Neer (nee Ordway), age 77, of Schererville, IN, passed away on December 14, 2025. She is survived by her children, Julie (Dave Markusic) Dugan and Tom (Candace) Bainbridge; grandchildren, Haley (Josh) Bacon, Hope Dugan, Briana Ballard, Jayden Ballard, Jasmine Ballard, and Nolan Bainbridge; and great-grandchild, Estella. Myretta was preceded in death by her parents, Maloy "Pete" and Margie Ordway; brother, Roger Ordway; and daughter, Christina Neer.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.
Myretta was a lifelong resident of northwest Indiana. She enjoyed vacationing with her family and grandchildren, going on road trips especially. She was a very strong-willed woman who enjoyed negotiating. Myretta took each of her grandchildren car shopping, and they always left with the best price because of her. Her presence and laughter will be missed greatly.
