

Nadine F. Hammond, age 66, of Crown Point, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2017 with her family at her side. Nadine was born June 5, 1950 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Eugene Lillian (Rudzinski) Langel. Also preceding her in death are her loving husband of 42 years, Thomas Hammond; brother, Dean Langel; and a sister, Rolene Valandingham. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Nicholas (Amanda) Hammond; grandchildren, Crosby and Hazel Hammond; brothers, Rodney (Cheryl) Langel and Keane (Brenda) Langel; nieces and nephews, Deniese Cox, Kim Witczak, Jennifer Gipson, Dan Valandingham, Shelley Galaske, Adam Langel, Justin Zimmerman, and Nicholette Skocz. Nadine was a owner and operator with her brother, Rodney, of Langel's Pizza for over thirty years in Schererville. Where she loved being social, meeting new people, and catching up with the regulars. Nadine and Tom were members of the Calumet Corvette Club and loved to dance to their favorite disco tunes. Nadine loved slot machines, crossword puzzles and cross-stitching. She was a thoughtful and generous person with everyone, and was a loving a devoted mother and grandmother. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 3-8 pm. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave. Schererville, Indiana 46375). Funeral services will be Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 10:00 am with Pastor Kent Puent officiating at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.
