Nancy Mae Gresham

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Gresham; parents, James and Cuey Proffitt; her daughter, Judy Abernathy; her siblings, Dan Proffitt, John D. Proffitt, Mary Jane Minton, Rosie Minton, Frances Burkhart, and Mag Nola Jones.

Nancy is survived by her son, Raymond; her daughter, Kathy; her grandkids, Jimmy (Jen), Tony (Melissa), Kim (Bill), Eydie (Dexter), Nathan, and Casey; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Danny, Dustin (Taylor), Kody (Char), Tiffany (Tyler), Kyle, and Chase; 11 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She retired from Jewel after working as a deli clerk, but went on to work at Walts in the bakery and worked up until she was 83. Nancy enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, crocheting, and bowling.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, with a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens to follow.
