Nancy M. Mills

Nancy age 83 passed away November 24, 2020 I Valparaiso, Indiana

Nancy was born on September 01, 1937 in Hammond, Indiana to Nellie and Maurice Tunis. She married George M Schoonover then later in life married Alfred H Mills, Sr. She lived most of her life in Hammond, Indiana working for several businesses in their accounting departments and later became a Real Estate Realtor in the area. She enjoyed being a member of Sam’s Indiana RV Cub and writing in their News Letter.

She is survived by her three children: George (Margaret) Schoonover, Debra (Thomas) Cichocki and James (Cheryl) Schoonover; four step-sons Alfred Mills Jr., George (Starla) Mills, Carl (Carol) Mills, Lester (Debra) Mills, daughter-in-law Denise, Step-sister Judith Whited, 27 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Nellie and Maurice, step-father Lynn Shephard, husbands George and Alfred, step-son Alvah Mills and step-grandson Joseph Mills.

Friends are invited to meet with family on Tuesday, December 01, 2020 at 11:00 am at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens 8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN 46307. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Randy Harrison, Minister officiating with burial following service.
