Nancy Eloise Vandewater

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Robert E. Vandewater; children, Wayne (Tricia) Vandewater, Kimberly (Troy) Gagne, Kathy Vandewater and Rebecca (Lane) Hassloch; grandchildren, Riley Vandewater, Kyle VanHouten, Karlie VanHouten, Levi Gagne, Bailie Gagne, Anna Hassloch, Max Hassloch and Mattie Gagne; brother, James Ochiltree; sister, Gail (Larry) Wapiennik; special aunt, Mildred Ochiltree; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Nancy was born on August 5, 1945 in Elgin, IL to James and Esther Jane Ochiltree. On January 15, 1977 she married the love of her life and together they raised 4 children. Nancy retired from Inland Steel with 25 years of service. She enjoyed golf, traveling across the country, photography, playing piano and spending time with her family.

Nancy was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother and grandmother and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN) with Elder Russell Smiddy officiating.

Burial to be held privately by the family.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
