The son of the late Brian and Jacquelyn (Murray) Pintler, Neil was born on February 5, 1958, on the Southside of Chicago. He spent his life as a devoted, hard-working, loving, family man, building a legacy of warmth, wisdom and laughter. He enjoyed riding his Harley, tinkering in his garage, and spending time with friends and family, especially his grandsons. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 47 years, Laura Pintler; his sons, Brian (Tiffanie) and Brandon Pintler; grandsons that he was so proud of, Gavin and Braxton; father-in-law, Leonard Medley; sister-in-laws, Coleen (Terry) Darnell, Deedee (Jerry) Clark, Lisa (Bill) Giglio, and Linda Greer; lifelong friend, Wayne Hennecke; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Craig; his mother-in-law, Florence Medley; and his brother-in-law, Louis Greer.
A special thanks to Dunes Hospice, my niece Heather, for bringing Neil home, and our neighbors the Scheldbergs and the Driscolls for their support, kindness and compassion.
A celebration of life for Neil will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 2:00 pm until time of service at 6:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307.
