Norma J Comforti

Norma J. Comforti, age 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the William J. Riley Hospice Residence surrounded by her family. She is survived by her daughters: Lola (Michael) Martin and Jo Ellen Hejmej (Edwardo Garza); son, Richard Comforti; grandchildren: Rhonda (Scott) Pfeiffer, Sandra (Kevin) Platt, Annette (Paul) Thompson, Eric (Brenda) Martin, Heather Larkins, Michael Comforti, Melissa Rodriguez, Selena Rodriguez, Christopher Rodriguez, Joshua Hejmej, and Jessica Hejmej; 12 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter. Preceded in death by her husband, Finy Comforti; daughters: Sandra (Ronald) Zisoff and Linda Larkins; sister, Margaret Lewkowski; and brother, Wayne Roberts. Norma retired in 1986 after 15 years with the Hammond School System. She loved to cook and bake. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, IN. Rev. Theodore Mens officiating. Interment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
