Patricia A. Broderick

She is survived by children, George (Eileen) Broderick of Apex, NC, Donald (Maryanne) Broderick, Jr. of Plover, WI, and James (Miri) Broderick of Glen Ridge, NJ; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; also survived by sisters, Carol Dugan, Kathleen Callahan, and Nancy Callahan.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Donald Broderick, Sr.; her parents, Frank (“Roger”) and Julia Callahan; and her brother, Frank (“Mickey”) Callahan.

Patricia was born on June 6, 1932, and was raised in East Chicago, IN. She was a graduate of Bishop Noll Institute and, following several years working at Western Union and Lever Brothers, married her high school sweetheart, Donald Broderick, Sr. They settled in Whiting, IN, where she was very active in her children’s activities and her work for many years at the office of Dr. Robert Hoffman.

A loving and devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family throughout the years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 10:00 am at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish, 8303 West Taft Street, Merrillville, IN 46410. Family and friends are invited to visit beginning at 9:00 am, prior to the service. Patricia will be laid to rest beside her husband at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
