She was a woman of many talents and hobbies which included being a Chicago Cubs fan, listening to anything by Elvis Presley, and spending time sprucing up her yard. Pauline attended Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Hammond, Indiana. Everyone who came to know her will truly miss her.
Pauline is survived by her son Michael Gurnak; daughter Dawn Mills; five grandchildren; Lorri (Steve) Lindsey, Derek (Lindsay) Zabinski, Jessica Gurnak, Theresia Gurnak, Luke Mills; five great-grandchildren; Leeloo Lindsey, Ripley Lindsey and Gianna Apple, Josh Apple, Jaden Apple; sister Anna Varlan; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Elizabeth Andrey; six brother John, Mike, Joe, Andy, Eddie, and Frank. Five sisters Margaret, Helen, Elizabeth, Mary, and Agnes.
A visitation for Pauline will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM., of which from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pastor Jason DeVries will be having a prayer service. If you would like to share a memory of Pauline, you may do so during this hour.
A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307. Father Theodore Mens will be officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Crown Point, IN.
In order to maximize the safety of our community, masks will be required in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pauline's memory may be made to Hospice of the Calumet Area.
