

He is survived by his devoted wife of almost 42 years, Alice. Also surviving are his loving children, Kimberly (Tom) Imhausen, Kathleen (Raul) Guzman, Jacquelyn (R.J.) Averilla, Jennifer (Clint) Colston, Brian (Cindy) McClellan, Dean (Gretchen) Eitel, and Elizabeth (Bob) Thompson; seventeen very much loved grandchildren, Nicole (Tony) Carroll, Tommy (Cara) Imhausen, Chelsea (Juan) Ceja, Caitlin (Juan) Gandarilla, Angelica (Anthony) Guzman, Trever (Bri) Colston, Chloe Averilla, Lyndsey (Nick) Smith, Ryan (Elli) Stutesman, Brian Jr. (Danielle) McClellan, Brandon (Nikki) Coubal, Aaron (Kiley) Eitel, Haliey (Darius) St. John, Jordan Eitel, Olivia Van Nieulande, Brock Coubal, and Lacey Eitel, and bonus granddaughter Leksi Selby; and 29 great-grandchildren. Rick is also survived by his closest friends, Dean Sr. and Lou Ann Eitel, and fishing buddy/lifelong friend, Arnold Wright. Also, his canine security team, Lucy, Ellie, and Penny.
Rick was preceded in death by his loving parents, Richard and Dorothy Rocky.
Rick retired from American Maize Produce Company (Cerestar/Cargill) after 35 years as an Operator. He then drove for Griegers as a parts driver for seven years. Rick was a man of many self-taught skills, loved golfing, fishing, camping, and classic cars. He especially loved spending his time in Chetek, WI, with his wife, family, and friends.
Rick will be greatly missed and always remembered with love. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
A Visitation for Rick will take place on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 from 3:00 - 7:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 12:00 pm, also at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Committal to immediately follow.
