Robert E. Runyon

ROBERT E. RUNYON HOBART, IN Robert E. Runyon, age 83, passed away September 4, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lola Runyon; children: Rodney (Darlene) Runyon, Thomas (Mary Beth) Runyon, and Gregory (Maria) Runyon; grandchildren: Brian (Carly) Runyon, Thomas (Maggie) Runyon, Matthew J. (Lacy) Runyon, Matthew M. Runyon, and Riley Runyon; great grandchildren: Brianne Runyon, Braiden Runyon, Lola Runyon, and Olivia Runyon. Preceded in death by his parents: Elanore and George Runyon. Robert was a founding member of Grace Lutheran Church in Dyer, IN and was a part of the American Legion for 60 years. He also spent two years as a Marine and enjoyed fishing, bowling, and playing dartball. Robert will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, September 6, 2013 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, IN from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at Grace Lutheran Church, Chris Gillespie officiating (8303 Sheffield Ave., Dyer, IN). Interment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church of Dyer, IN.
