Ronald Wayne Richardson

RONALD W. RICHARDSON SR. REMINGTON, IN Ronald W. Richardson Sr., age 73, of Remington, passed away peacefully at his home with his wife of thirty years and his family at his side. Ronald was born on May 20, 1940 to the late Vernon Roland and Ida (Swets) Richardson. On May 28, 1983 he married Phyllis (Frinkel) Richardson. Mrs. Richardson survives in Remington. Survivors also include his children Ronald W. Richardson Jr. of Strawberry, Arkansas, and Karen S. (Richardson) Ozug of Munster. And his stepchildren: Dale (Cathy) Carter of Rensselaer, David Carter of Remington, and Rose (Ralph) Suges of Wheatfield, IN. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his grandchildren: Dylan, Steven, Teresa Ashley; 10 step grandchildren; and four step great grandchildren. His brother, Vernon L. Richardson preceded him in death. Mr. Richardson was a mechanic and millwright at Inland Steel and member of the Local Union #1010. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed horse back riding. Ronald was a huge fan of old Western Movies, and after retirement, he became a traveling enthusiast. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 South Cline Ave., Schererville, IN 46375) with Pastor Ballard Lewis officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial may be given towards Jasper County Hospice or to Victory Baptist Church.
