Born on March 29, 1949, at St. Bernard’s Hospital in Chicago, IL, Sharon was the beloved daughter of Warren Ellery and Alma (Hills) Potter.
Sharon dedicated many years of her professional life to Carnegie Credit Corporation. She was also a devoted member and volunteer at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Dolton, IL. In her free time, she was an avid reader and found joy in tending to her flower garden, visiting with friends, and hunting for great deals while shopping.
She is survived by her loving children, Laura Czubak (Michael Kusiolek) of St. John, IN, and Peter Czubak (Anne Ginzkey) of Chicago, IL; her cherished grandchildren, Madelyn, Genevieve, and Charlie; and her dear sisters, Janice, Elaine, and Donna. Sharon also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will remember her with love.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Tricia; and her brothers, Sonny and Bobby.
Though Sharon had a fondness for flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to a cause close to your heart or to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011, in her honor.
