Abby - I heard about Shawn's passing when I was out of town and could not make the services.  Just wanted you to know that it was truly a pleasure just knowing a great man with a lot of dignity and pride. Be blessed...

Sean was my neighbor for many years growing up and was like an extra brother to me. Even though he was much older than me in kid years, I can't recall a time he was any less than kind to me.

Dan & Debi, I am so sorry to hear about Shawn. I am sure that angel that was given to him is watching out for him and his family. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Shawn had a kind and gentle personality.  He was a great teammate of mine and I relied on his wisdom for insight and technological anwers.  
He will be missed.

My heart is still heavy & it's still unreal to me that at a young age god had taken you home. I will alway love you Shawn & remember the time's we had together when we spent it at grandpa & grandma's house. RIP

My heart broke when I heard this news..I had the pleasure of knowing Shawn through work. He was so fun to talk with and I really enjoyed when he came to visit. We had some good laughs. You will truly be missed Shawn.

Shawn came into my life at the age of three. I raised him with his mother Debi until he married a wonderful person, Abby. His mother Debi taught both of us what the word “Love” meant. Shawn and I grew and learned that meaning together. We struggled at times, but he was always so forgiving.
Shawn was my buddy and by my side all the time. He went with me to work at times as a Logger (Lumberjack). He was there with me when we had to go out and cut firewood for our home in Port Angeles, WA. We would go salmon fishing many times in the summer, and it is true, he would always out-fish me.
He also loved to play sports. Debi was even a coach for his soccer team for two years. He also played baseball. I taught him about basketball and he played high school football. He still loved his football. The Seattle Seahawks were his favorite team, and everyone from Arizona to Chicago always gave him a hard time about that, but he stayed true to his team.
Shawn grew up and met Abby, a red-head (good choice because I am a red head too). He immediately fell in love and brought her into our lives. He met Abby in Seattle and then moved to Ontario, CA and then settled into Chicago.
Then, after marrying the most fabulous redhead Abby, we were blessed with Samantha. She added even more love into our lives. At one time Shawn and Abby had said they did not want children. Shawn told Debi and me that Sam was the best thing to happen to their lives. Those of you that know Samantha, you can see both Shawn and Abby in her. She is the best Granddaughter in the whole wide world.
Shawn leaves behind many, many people that loved him. He leaves behind his brother Danny, 4 Aunts, 2 Uncles, and over 75 Cousins. There is no one who has met him that has not loved him and he has not loved.
Shawn, you turned into a fine young man. You were a loving husband and father. I wished I had turned out more like you.
We also want to thank Abby for opening her house up to us. We really want to thank Leya and Ann for all of their support. Ann always making sure I was fed. You are all so loveable.
We must move on now which will be a hard task to do without Shawn. I will not be able to call you now and ask what is up with the Seahawks anymore. I will truly miss that. I know you are with God now. Why God took you away will be a question I will not understand for a long time.
We love you and will sorely miss you so very much.
