Shirley Ann Fazio

SHIRLEY ANN FAZIO OF DYER AND SCHERERVILLE, FORMERLY OF LANSING, age 80, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2016 with her loving children at her side.Shirley was born February 17, 1936 to the late LeRoy and Hazel (Dahlke) Mitchelar. Also preceding her in death is her loving husband, Valentino “Val” Fazio; brother in laws, Tony and Frank Fazio; and sister in law, Rosie Schelfo.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michael (Kim) Fazio, Lisa Pasternack, and Brian (Jessica) Fazio; grandchildren, Kyle Isek, Madison Fazio, Riley Fazio, Vincent Fazio, Sydney Pasternak, Brent Pasternak, Adam Pasternak, Mallorie Fazio, Amanda Fazio, Makenna Fazio, and Peyton Fazio; great grandchild Caden; sister Delores (David) Boekeloo; sister in laws, Esther Remic and Theresa Grubbs.

Mrs. Fazio worked at Advance Bank of Lansing, holding many positions. She was a board member of the American Cancer Society of Lansing, and a member of Lansing Chamber of Commerce. She was a selfless caretaker to many generations of her family and her close friends. Shirley enjoyed gardening and being with her family.

Visitation will be Monday, June 6, 2016 from 3-8 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave; Schererville, Indiana 46375). Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 11:00 am at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
