Steve enjoyed wood working, real estate ventures and investments. He loved his wife of 63 years and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, son David Kanic and his three sisters.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Eva Kanic; daughters Anna (Richard) Wineinger and Dianne West; sons Paul (Kathy) Kanic and Darwin Kanic; brother Josep Kanic; granddaughters Kelly Kanic, Gretchen Wineinger and Chloe Wineinger, grandsons Kyle West and Ryan West and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home 9039 Kleinman Road Highland, IN 46322
Burial will take place at Chapel Lawn and Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 10:00 am.
