Steven was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilou Zubrenic; his cherished daughter, Sherri Zubrenic; and his parents, Joseph and Pearl Zubrenic.
He is survived by his loving sons, Sam and Steve Zubrenic; numerous siblings; and several grandchildren, all of whom brought him great joy and pride.
Steven had a passion for the simple pleasures in life. He enjoyed fishing, cheering on his favorite Chicago sports teams, especially the White Sox, and watching classic John Wayne movies. His warmth, humor, and steadfast spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A visitation to celebrate Steven’s life will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307, beginning at 10:00 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, beside his beloved wife, Marilou.
