Susie is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert "Bob" Tortolano, Sr.; children, Robby (Maggie) Tortolano, Jr., Jennifer (Shawn) Menear, Chris (Adrianne) Tortolano; eight grandchildren, Jaxon, Gracelyn, Presley, Gia, Ava, Reagan, Zach, and Julia; and her siblings, Becky (Randy) Mullins, Bob (Mary Kay) Kellerman, and Tom Kellerman.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Gayle Kellerman; and her sister, Debbie (Jim) Doty.
Susie was a manager of Jewel for 35 years, proudly baking nothing but goodness for the community. The family she came from and the family she married into meant everything to Susie. She was welcoming to strangers from all walks of life. Susie was fond of cooking, baking, reading books, and heading to the Casino to play the slot machines. Susie also enjoyed traveling and being on the back of the motorcycle. She was passionate about advocating for motorcyclists. Hands down, her grandchildren and her entire family were her life. All the memories created, pistachio cupcakes baked, and home-cooked meals will forever be cherished.
A Public Visitation will be held for Susie on Friday, June 3rd, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. Private Committal will take place at a later date.
