Dear Vicky,

I was saddened to hear of Toms passing. There wasn't a week that went by when somebody out in the field would say they ran into ole Tom at Menards.

Working at the Building Department with myself( now the Department of Development and Storm Water Mgmt) he was as professional as he was punctual.

My favorite memories were of his stash of crackers in his desk drawer and the time he and I slid over a STOP sign in the dead of winter in a snowstorm in his little black truck. We both could not stop laughing...... and he was always telling his funny Army stories and NIPSCO stories.

I reached out to some of the builders that would know him and they all responded similiar to Nardo Builders response from Jack Barko:

"He was a character....concrete boys loved um....God Bless ole Tommy....."

Rest in Peace my good man!

-MH.
