Walter “Wally” S. Orzechowicz, Jr. age 72, of Middleville, Michigan passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 surrounded by family in Crown Point, IN. Wally was born October 14th, 1948 in East Chicago, IN to the late Walter and Sophie (Dzialo) Orzechowicz, Sr. Also, preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Orzechowicz.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Linda (Radloff) Orzechowicz, two daughters, Kimberly (Mark) Krachenfels, Kelly (Keith) Trivette; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn Krachenfels, Madison Price, Tyler Krachenfels, Brandon Price, and Reagan Price; one brother Mark (Karyn) Orzechowicz, two sisters-in-laws, Nancy (Michael) Markovich, Janet (Jerry) Caruso; several nieces, nephews and cousins; along with many wonderful friends.
Wally graduated from Bishop Noll Institute, Class of 1966. He furthered his education by earning a degree from DeVry University. Wally retired from Inland Steel after 30 years in Process Automation. After retirement, Wally and Linda divided their time between their homes on Gun Lake, Michigan and Fort Myers, Florida. Wally enjoyed boating, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He was truly loved by all who knew him.
A public visitation for Wally will be held Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home- 8178 Cline Ave. Crown Point, IN 46307. A mass of Christian Burial will occur on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Matthias Church- 101 W. Burrell Dr. Crown Point, IN 46307 with Rev. Jim Wozniak officiating. Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Crown Point.
In lieu of flowers, please direct donations in Wally's name to the Hospice of the Calumet Area - 600 Superior Ave. Munster, IN 46321.
