My deepest condolences to Walter’s family. . . his daughter Carrie is my friend, and hearing about her Dad’s many adventures was so inspiring. Walter lived his passion—fearlessly driving to Florida to spend time with family and attending the Strawberry Festival, going on cruises, being with his grandkids at Disney, and attending country music concerts. I admire his zest for living the life he loved, and all of the pictures shared here show a very happy man with a sparkle in his eyes and a big smile. He has created many loving memories and he will forever be loved.

To Walter's Family and Friends, may care and love of those around you provide comfort and peace to get you through the days ahead. My most sincere condolences.

I am confident that Walter is enjoying storytelling with "Mooseheart Red Ramblers" that have preceded him.

So sad to hear country music lover Walter has passed away. I have known Walter for decades because of his love of country music. I worked at US99 and Walter went on several of our US99 trips especially to Fan Fair which eventually became the CMA Music Fest. He was at so many concerts and artists signings and events. Walter was one of my favorite listeners. In fact, everyone at the station loved Walter. He made many friends at these country music events including the artists! This is my last picture with Walter at Kelsea Ballerini downtown in May. I'm glad we had that visit and this selfie which he laughed about!! He was talking about how he loves country music cruises now. I can't imagine the shows he's attending in heaven now. His stories and his incredible catalog of pictures were always so wonderful!! Prayers for his family. He was such a good guy!
