William Lyman

Bill is the loving husband of 68 years to Catherine "Bonnie" Lyman; beloved father to Danny (Eva) Lyman, Gregory (Donna) Lyman, and Anita (Bill) Mattozzi; proud grandfather to Steven Lyman, Daniel (Sarah) Lyman, Amanda Inskeep and Gregory (Jackie) Lyman; great-grandfather to Alexis, Tyler, Gabriel, Gavin, Beau and Rose; cherished brother to Leon Lyman, Nancy Southwood, the late Mary Ellen Napier, the late Jim Lyman, and the late Linda Biles; uncle to many.

Bill honorably served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired after 36 years of faithful service at Inland Steel Corporation. He and his family are faithful members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Crawfordsville, IN. Bill was an avid golfer, bowler, hunter, and fisherman. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

Visitation will be Friday, June 28, 2024 from 10:00 am until the time of his Funeral at 12:00 noon at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. He will be laid to rest in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
