Agnes Bureeda Anderson Bruner

Two weeks before Thanksgiving, November 11, 1927, the floor in Heaven opened up and an angel came down to earth. Agnes Bureeda Anderson Bruner began teaching the love of God, Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. For the next 83 years, she taught God's word as she raised 8 children, 18 granchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. All the while singing praises to God. She was born in Virginia, then in the late 1950's she moved to Dallas, TX with four children, two sons and two daughters where she added four more children, two more sons and two more daughters. She then moved to Plano, TX in 1972 where she resided until her final day on February 10, 2011. She was a Charter Member of Lord Of Life Lutheran Church in Plano, TX. She lived her life showing that no matter what we experience on this earth, have the joy of Christ in your heart, smile, sing praises to God, and love one another. "Forgive for you have been forgiven." Life is too short to not have Christ's joy in your heart and be filled with the Holy Spirit all the days of your life on earth in order to spend all eternity with God in Heaven.

Mrs. Bruner is survived by her daughters, Juanita Lanier Bruner of Naylor, MO, Patricia Ann Harman and husband Charles of Houston, TX, Bureeda Bruner of Dallas, TX and Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Van Der Kroon of Allen, TX; sons, Eddie Bruner and wife Ruth of Little Elm, TX, David Bruner of Dallas, TX, Jacob Van Der Kroon and Lori Beth, Albert Van Der Kroon of Rowlett, TX. She is also survived by her grand children Carla Katrina, Angela, Edwin, Leanne, Kristi, Dawn, Tammy, Chad, Christine, David, Adam, Paul, Joshua, Madison, Naomi, Aaron, Katie, and Paul as well as 18 great granchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Agnes is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Minnie Anderson; husbands, John Van Der Kroon and Francis Bruner; 3 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 12 - 5 pm and Monday, February 14, 2011 from 5 - 9 pm at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 2 pm at Lord of Life Lutheran Church located at 3601 W. 15th Street Plano, Texas 75075.
