Ann Margaret Gilliss was born on Tuesday, September 21, 1954, and passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, in Dallas, Texas. She was the fourth of five children born to Kenneth and Kathleen (Scott) Gilliss. She grew up in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada with her one sister and three brothers. She earned her Bachelor’s in Home Economics at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia.
She was married to her beloved husband Robert L. Perkins for over forty years. For many of those years, they traveled all over the world and went on many great adventures together. Along the way, they had two much-loved children: a daughter, Roberta (Perkins) McArthur, and a son, Kevin Perkins.
Ann was a lover of books and an avid reader – mostly suspense, mystery, and detective stories. She loved clocks and collected several from her trips around the world. She also loved glass figurines and teapots.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Kathleen Gilliss.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her soulmate, Robert L. Perkins, and her beloved children, Roberta (Mark) McArthur and Kevin (Emma Livingston) Perkins. She also leaves behind her siblings Michael (Roxena Goodine) Gilliss, Mary Gilliss, Christopher (Karen Perry) Gilliss, and Lee Gilliss.
