It is with heartfelt sadness but exceeding GREAT JOY that Arnold Earl Hamilton has gone on to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the one he loved most of all in this world. Friends and family were always close behind but also treasured gifts that only God can give, and he loved them all as you could feel if you knew him. He was a true lover and friend of people. . . one and all.
He died Monday, April 22, 2024, at Mustang Creek Assisted Living under the care of Centric Hospice and Home Health after15 months of loving care by all Hospice employees and Mustang Creek Staff and caregivers. He also had Centric Home Health for 4 months prior. To each and every one of them, the family will be forever grateful for their loving support during this difficult journey. He loved each and every one of them, and he felt the love in return.

Arnold was born on August 4, 1942, in Freeport, TX, to Hugh and Minnie Ola Hamilton. He was survived by his wife, Marsha Ashby Hamilton, of 56 years; also by daughters Stephanie Reddin (husband Kenny) of Deer Park, TX, and daughter Karen Denise Hamilton of Wylie, as well as granddaughter Marissa Coker Bennett (husband Brent) of Houston, Tx.
He is also survived by sister-in-laws Billie Lindamood and Marcene Hamilton, nephew David Ibenthal (wife Belinda), nieces Deborah Frazier (husband Roger), Cindi Joplin, Felicia Massey (husband Terry), Daphne Smith, and Barbara Hamilton, plus several great nieces and nephews, and numerous beloved friends.
He was pre-deceased by his parents Hugh and Minnie Ola Hamilton, sister Helon Hamilton Dickens and brother Marvin Hamilton. He was also pre-deceased by three children: Julie Diane Hamilton (the twin of Karen Hamilton), Holly Denise Hamilton, and one unnamed child.
Arnold graduated from Brazosport High School in Freeport TX in 1960, and from Wharton County Junior College where he earned an Associates degree before joining the U. S. Army where he spent almost 3 years in Germany. When he returned home in 1965, he went to work for the Dow Chemical Company in Freeport where he worked for about 30 years until retirement in June 1995. He started out in operations, then machinist trainee and journeyman before becoming Maintenance Supervisor over several crafts and in several plants, including the Ammonia plant, Epoxy, and Hydrocarbons.
He spent his last 38 years of life doing what he loved the most which was serving God in any way he could with his hands or his special ministry which turned out to be the Outreach Ministry. He and Marsha worked hand in hand to reach as many people whose lives they could touch and bring to God. Arnold’s greatest gift was the ability to truly love people and express it to them in whatever situation they found themselves. It seemed like revival followed him wherever he went because he so desperately wanted to share the Love of God with everyone, and they could see he was the real deal. He made many fast and long-lasting friendships.
Though he hated to leave his family, he could hardly wait to meet God face to face and is undoubtedly rejoicing and worshipping around the throne of God.
Flowers aren’t allowed at the cemetery except for the two family arrangements. But if inclined to send an honorarium, Marsha suggests either a donation to the American Cancer Society, their church’s Building Fund at North Cities Church, Attn: Rev. D. G. Hargrove, 502 Belt Line, Garland, TX 75040, OR to your own favorite charity of choice.
