She grew up in Hicksville, New York with her younger brother Donald Murphy.
Barbara-Anne graduated from Hicksville High School. After high school she went to undergrad school at the State University of New York at Fredonia and Graduate school at the University of North Texas obtaining a masters in Music.
She married the love of her life and best friend Robert David Lindorm on Thursday June 10, 1965. They would have been married for 48 years before his death in 2014. Together they raised two amazing sons, David Charles Lindorm and Brian James Lindorm.
She had such a love and passion for music and teaching music. She learned the French horn when she was 12 years of age. She was always growing herself and striving to be the best she could. She taught private music lessons for the French horn for over 40 years, most recently with the Plano and McKinney School districts. She played in the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra and the Allen Community band. Her favorite music was classical. When she wasn't playing or teaching music you could find her cooking or doing anything with spiritual enrichment. Her most cherished times where spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Barbara- Anne Murphy Lindorm will be greatly missed but not forgotten as a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt, teacher and friend.
Barbara-Anne is survived by; son and daughter-in-law David Charlie & Lauren Lindorm; son and daughter-in-law Brian James and Sandra Lindorm. Seven grandchildren; Mia, Tabitha, Krysta, Zachary, Sheena, Patrick and Ashley. She also is survived by seven great-grandchildren
Barbara-Anne was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” David Lindorm, her parents Thomas and Dorothy Murphy and her only brother Donald Murphy.
The family will have a private gathering for their mother on Thursday, May 14, 2020 from 11 AM till 12 PM at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home in Plano, Texas.
A graveside service for Barbara-Anne will be held Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Weir Cemetery, 6470 E. 1st Street, Prosper, Texas 75078.
