Beverley Brinkerhoff Roberts Quay Marsico – 89 - passed away on Tuesday night, January 18, 2022, in Plano, Texas. She was born in the Bronx, on November 25, 1932, to Charles Van Buskirk Brinkerhoff and Dorothea Marion Smith. She moved to New Jersey when she was 5, where she would spend most of her life, with the exception of 7 years in Maryland, when she was married to Adrian S. Roberts, Jr., and the last 8 years of her life, which she spent in Texas. She attended West Orange grammar schools, then moved to Florham Park, where she attended Junior High School, subsequently graduated from Madison High School in 1950. Later, she attended Fairleigh Dickinson University from 1963-67. She married three times: 1st to Adrian S. Roberts Jr., 2nd to Matthew K. Quay, and lastly to Louis J. Marsico. Beverley began her career in banking as a clerk at the First National Bank of Madison, NJ. She worked at several banks, rising up through the ranks to become one of the first women bank officers in the mid 1960’s. In 1973 she was promoted to Vice President. Throughout her career, she conducted herself ethically, fairly, honestly, and with integrity, her word was her bond.
In her spare time, she enjoyed painting and cooking. She was an excellent baker, making cakes for birthdays and pies and cookies for holiday treats. Above all she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt and mentor, somehow finding the time to make the best of the time she had with her family.
