

Bonifacio proudly served his country in the United States Army. After completing his military service, he began a long and respected career in engineering with Vought Aircraft. His dedication, skill, and unwavering work ethic earned the admiration of colleagues and friends throughout his 34 years with the company. He retired in 2013.
On October 1, 1966, Bonifacio married the love of his life, Juanita P. Barrera. Together they built a life rooted in family, devotion, and shared memories. Outside of his career, Bonifacio had a deep passion for classic cars and loved spending time riding his motorcycle. His "baby" was his beloved ’55 Chevy Bel Air that no one else was allowed to drive.
Bonifacio is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Juanita P. Barrera; his children, Monica Enriquez (Juan Enriquez) and Jessica Prieto (Edgar Prieto); and his grandchildren, Theodore Barrera, Christopher Barrera (Vanessa Barrera), Noah Barrera, Juan Enriquez, Jr. (Angel Enriquez), Mariah Enriquez, Marc Prieto, Nathan Prieto, Noe Prieto, Ted Prieto, and Alyssa Prieto. He is also survived by his great‑grandchildren, Jesse Barrera, Izabella Barrera, Aracely Perez, Juan “J” Enriquez III, and Joseph Enriquez. He is further survived by his sisters and brothers‑in‑law, Delfina Young (Jack Young), Elvira Hernandez (Bran Hernandez), and Virginia Sandoval (Abel Sandoval), as well as his brother‑in‑law, Lino Pulido.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ted Barrera; his parents, Bonifacio Barrera, Sr. and Benita C. Barrera; his brothers, Lupe Garcia, Fermin Garcia, Rudy Garcia, Benny Barrera, and Barney Fraga; and his sisters, Margaret Pulido, Sara Hope, Benita Garcia, and Mary Garcia.
