Colonel Jones was a career military man, who served in three campaigns earning, 3 purple hearts. He loved his dogs, and after retirement, he became the family and neighborhood dog sitter. He was also an avid sports fan. His favorite team was the Texas Longhorns.
He was predeceased by his first wife Betty, his sister Patricia Ann Schaper, and his brother Frank T. Jones. Colonel Jones is survived by his wife Mary C. Jones, his daughter Ann Reznicek (Glen), step-son Charles Coleman DDS (Linda) and step-son Michael Coleman (Dr.Anne). He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. For the past year, he made his home at Emeritus at Creekside Memory Care Center. The Family is greatful for the loving care that he received from their caring staff. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the SPCA or to Emeritus Creekside for their 2011 Memory walk.
